I'm extremely puzzled why coffeeshops in Sg always closed for renovation? In my area, very common each one closed for renovation after every 10 - 15 months. After re-open, not much difference or any improvement can be seen !!!

What a waste - who is paying ?

  1. We the citizen is paying, who else

  2. we

  3. us

  4. Many angles to see:

    1. Maybe during the economic downturn in the 2001-2003... they very hardup.. and delayed renovating. Then now, boom times.. more customers and more money.

    2. Other coffeeshops are renovating... so they have to follow the foot step as well. Competition is tough.

    3. Attract tenants... and can raise price of rent as well.. by saying.. the coffeeshop very well kept and beautiful.

    4. During last year or sometime back, Govt sponsor half the money to renovate toilets of shopping centres and coffeeshops.. maybe they took the opportunity to renovate as well.

    5. Frequent change of owners of coffeeshops.

  5. New owner lah. The old one bankrupt so new owner wants better things lah. Yishun got 1 kopitiam 1 & half year change 3 owners

  6. Using our tax. PAP(pay and pay)
