Singapore - Can bicycle cycle in express road?

Singapore Road - I have cycle and came to express road and the traffic police told me that i can't cycle in this road.

How to cycle from Admiralty road to Bedok - Chai Chee road? What is the shortcut to cycle to there? How long does duration to reach Bedok - Chai Chee road?

With a GPS, the route would be something along these major roads but are not expressways. About 30 kms.

1 Get on Admiralty Road W and drive east 122 m

2  Turn right onto Woodlands Ave 8   2.2 km

3.  Turn right onto Sembawang Rd 3.9 km

4. Turn left onto Yishun Avenue 1 2.5 km

5. Turn right onto Yishun Ave 2 839 m

6. Turn left onto Ang Mo Kio Ave 4.1 km

7. Keep left onto Ang Mo Kio Ave 1 2.6 km

8. Take left ramp onto Paya Lebar Ramp 6.9 km

9. Exit left onto ramp onto Bedok North Rd 3.4 km

10. Turn right onto Bedok North Ave 3 2.0 km
