  2. For a leader to qualify to be labelled as a dictator, he or she must have done something more than just what the video clips have shown. Let us ask ourselves, are all these problems filmed in the clip unique to Singapore? Are there no such instances in other countries?

    What have Singapore achieved over two generations? Are we better off? Do we have a system where hard work pays? or do we have a system where money can buy you power?

    Look around us, not far, just Asia. How many countries have stood firm over the last decade with a smooth hand over of political leadership without protracted protest?

    When people criticise, it is often because they want to build up their self esteem or self importance.

    And in case you ask - no, I am not a member of the ruling party.
