Singapore v United States of America – ICC World Cricket League Division Four 2012 – Match Recap
The United States of America secured a 37-run win over Singapore in their 2012 ICC World Cricket League Division Four match, at the Bayuemas Oval in Kuala Lumpur on September 9, and the victory propelled the winning team to Division 3.
The USA won the toss and elected to bat first, and the depth in their batting order enabled the team to post a final total of 263, despite the efforts of Singapore skipper Saad Janjua (8-0-40-4) and Amjad Mahboob (8-0-59-2).

Lower order batsmen Ryan Corns (24) and Elmore Hutchinson (21) chipped in with useful contributions before they were both sent back to the pavilion by Janjua. By the 49th over, the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Usa-c759 were all out, at a substantial total of 263.
Singapore’s innings was interspersed with bouts of rain, and with a lacklustre batting order troubled by the assaults of Muhammad Ghous (6-0-20-2) and Allen (6-0-29-2), the team found themselves unable to rise to the challenge posed by the chase, ending at 129 by the end of 24 overs.
With Arjun Mutreja (19) and wicketkeeper batsman Suryawanshi (23) opening the innings for their side, Singapore had barley gotten off to a start, before rain interrupted play after 2 overs, with the team at 9 for 0. The target was then revised, as per the D/L method, to 186 runs in 27 overs for Singapore.
The opening partnership yielded 39 runs, after which Mutreja was sent packing by Muhammad Ghous in the 6th over. After Suryawanshi’s dismissal at the hands of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Singapore-c3005 were at 52 for 4 – a position from which they were unable to recover.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Christopher-Janik-c50851 (12) remained unremarkable, but Munish Arora (26) attempted to revive the innings, alongside Shinde (22). Arora was sent packing by Corns in the 19th over, and his successor Janjua (8) teamed up with Shinde for a 25-run partnership.
