A brand new singer inspiration 4212... the top thread is moving down correctly into the bobbin shuttle, but does not pick up the bobbin thread as it comes back up again. I'm not new to sewing, my needle size is correct, it's not bent, the machine is threaded correctly, tension is perfect and stitch types are locked in correctly. I've taken off the faceplate to watch as the needle goes down.. to try and see what is going on. It's definitely not catching the bobbin thread and I can't understand why. Bobbin is threaded well. I don't see any bend marks on the shuttle.. this happened after a lightweight piece of fabric got caught in my feed dogs and I had to pull a little bit roughly to get it back out again. I was afraid something got bent, but I can't see any damage. Does anyone know where I can find photos/visuals of what an inspiration 4212 bobbin shuttle normally looks like.. so I can see if mine is damaged? Thanks.
