Singers please answer...there's something wrong with my throat?

in choir i'm afraid to sing loud give and it everything I've got because I'm afraid people will criticize my voice. I always get extremely nervous in choir. When I try to sing it's like the back of my throat is "locked up"

what is this? I don't want to sound breathy.

People are not even listening to you and everyone is more worried about how they sound than you. Get over it and sing or get off the pot.
