Question:

Singing the single mum blues..?

Ok, I'm 29, a single mum of three kids under 6.

I'm a pretty together person, independent and generally happy with my lot but have just been seriously hurt by someone I thought was special.

Feeling pretty despondent and would just like some reassurance that there are decent men out there who wouldn't be put off by three wonderful kids and consider taking on a step family. Am a little scared that my future could be one of being messed around and loneliness.

Blimey that sounds desperate - but you know what I mean!

Any stories of happy step families would be greatly appreciated!

  1. I personally know of many happy step families, my advice would be to be VERY careful about who you have around your children especially with their young ages but there is hope for you.  I wish you well!!

  2. I'm a step dad now. i would never be put off by a woman who had kids, if i loved her then her kids are a part of her...

  3. I am a separated man and while not ready to jump into a relationship yet I can tell you that a woman having three kids would not stop me from falling in love with her.  When I was single before I dated several women who had kids.  As long as the woman is someone I connect with on an emotional and physical level and she doesn't have a bunch of baggage in terms of her past that is all that matters. You will find true love, just hang in there. :)
