Hi there everybody,

I have been considering adopting for a long while now, and I finally feel that I am ready. I'm a 23 year old single male, looking to adopt a sibling group of 2-3 children.

I was hoping to adopt either a "Brother - Sister" 2 sibling group, or possibly a 3 sibling group. I know a lot of people are against a single person adopting, especially a single male. However, I want everyone here to know that I am well qualified and a very responsible person. I have a nice 4 bedroom apartment, new car, I own my own business where I make an average of $80 - $120k a year, and most days I am at home (I have managers that run the business). My mom moved in with me a year ago, and she fully supports my decision, is can't wait to have grandchildren...

However, my question for you guys is this: My home-study (being conduced by the local DCS agency) >>>>>>>

  1. I would express that you want a son and daugther if you really make that much money and you have female with you I don't see why they would only let you adopt males although you may want to look at a house or something. I have nothing against living in a an apartment but I felt close din when i lived in one just saying. Although even if you are just allowed to get boys you will still have kids to see grow up and girl can be a little harder because of creatin issues and if you do get a nine year old girl you need to be ready to face those issues becasue talking to a dad foster or other words about those types of things can be rather uncomftable take that form some ne who knows LOL. Any ways i hope you do get  what you wnat and good luck

  2. I dont know how you can do it my friend is a teacher and single and she cant adopt because she isnt married

  3. I think it is wonderful that you are willing to give a loving stable home to children who otherwise would not have that opportunity. I hope you have considered all of the areas of your life that having children will impact, like future relationships etc.

I am wishing you all the best and hope your home will have the love and fun that children bring soon.
