Single black dot in right eye, retina detachment?

I see a single back dot in my right eye, please don't tell me it is a retina detachment again?

  1. I don't think it's a retina detachment.. I'm pretty sure there would be other factors. But since you're so concerned, schedule an appointment with your Eye Doctor. I had 2 retina detachments[in my right eye] at the age of 8-9 (I'm 19 now) and my vision was blurry, sporaic dots, redness, etc.. So, don't disregard it but don't get so paranoid over it either.   2. My wife suffers from floaters, also.  A while ago, she also noticed a dark spot and went to a specialist, he called it an occlusion, or basically a mini stroke in the eye. It will eventually go away, if that's what it is, hers has all but disappeared or at least has blended in with the floaters...which by the way are dried blood and there's no cure.
