Single parents, in particular, female headed households are seen as strong contributing factors to juvenile delinquency or negative and violent youth behavior. This condition is suggested as one of the leading causes of gang violence. Society has developed this as the common perception of African American families. In what ways do single parent or female-headed households contribute to negative juvenile behavior?

  1. Poverty.  No supervision of their own kids.

    this has nothing to do with race

    single family issues goes with white bros and Asian bros as well

    to be honest, failer with marriage usually means failer with disciplining kids

    a kid doesn't get enough teaching and love and guidance with single parent
