Single female fancies a holiday?

Question

Ok - so I am single (happy enough this way - not looking a date or anything) but want to go on holiday. Obviously, I'd rather have someone to go with but most of my friends are married / in realtionships / have family and prefer to holiday with them. I feel like I am missing out because I have no-one to go on holiday with. And even if I did try to book a holiday alone, the single person suppliment makes the cost of the holiday too much. Besides it is more fun to have someone to share experiences with, to chat to and have a meal, drink with. Are any of you in the same position as me? Are there any companies that encourage people like us - or perhaps introduce people to holiday with? As I said, I'm not doing this to look for a boyfriend, I just want a like minded travel companion who can be male or female !

I used to have singles holidays with my sis but she passed away 2 yrs ago.

I wd love to go on holiday abroad but i am frightened...

dont like thought of a solo hol.

I've always wanted to go on one of those Tuscany walking/cycling holidays where you frequently stop at outdoor cafes and get bloated on pasta and grappa but you're right, its no fun alone

I'm buying an old boat with a cabin and an engine and I am looking for a pal but the one I'm looking for has got to be as nuts as me. It must be a bird who dont mind roughing it in sweatshirts and jeans, Who is good humoured and will help with the cooking. Forget about s*x and all that, I would take a bloke but I've heard all the rubbish that blokes talk about. I would'nt care what she looked like just providing that she could laugh when things got rough. I know that there a nutty bird out there someplace and when I'm ready to go I'll go and find her.

Depending on where you want to go my dear.....

There are lots and lots of tours you can goon where you are fitted in to a group and do everything with them. Sleeping arrangements are usually civil, sharing with someone of the same s*x, but if you go to South Africa, there are really lots of opportunities for group travel.

try putting an add on craigs list in strickly plutonic. or taking a needy person, a long lost friend, your mom, put an ad in your local paper.

I have the same problem, people always say theyl go but never do, i normaly just end up going away myself to places in ireland or the uk because of this! I even went to palestine on my own just for the craic!
