  1. I have seen photos of a bridal party who carried single pink Gerbera daisies with a ribbon tied round the stem. It actually looked quite lovely. Gerbera daisies are bigger flowers (if you get the average type) with large heads and thick stems, so it doesn't look so out-of-place. I would recommend going for three a piece though, as I like that look a lot better, and it would still keep the florist/flower costs down.

  2. Might I just say I HATE calla lillies, and don't know what all the hype is about??!!??

I like your daisy idea, but not a single daisy.  The good thing about daisies is that they are cheaper than a lot of the other flowers.  My bridesmaid are carrying pink gerbera daisies.  (a bouquet of them)  I think roses and calla lillies are overdone, and these daisies are unique.  Here are some links.

  3. I don't think a single daisy is appropriate perhaps a calla lilly or even a rose would do better as a single flower bouquet but it is your wedding.

  4. no

  5. I'd say no. Instead of daisies, why don't you go for a small bouquet of gerberas? They are of the same family but larger and stronger and probably more appropriate for a wedding.

Remember that these flowers have to last all day, you can't just pick some flowers out of the garden and expect them not to wilt and deteriorate throughout the day - your bouquet has to last after hours of handling and no water!

I'd recommend getting your flowers from a florist if you don't know what you're doing to make them last all day, or look at some online tutorials.

  6. Hi.  I agree with the others.  Perhaps a single GERBERA daisy (if that is what you are referring to) would be OK, but not just a plain daisy.

A single pink rose would look OK, but if you want pink daisies, I would go with at least 3 gerbera daisies in order to make it look OK.

If it is a cost/price issue, the silk gerberas are nice.  But get good quality ones, like the ones at Michaels Craft Store, or another similar store.
