  1. Most single men won't take care of their own children, let alone a strangers.  They won't share what they have with the women they use, and they certainly won't provide for a minor child.  If you're a single guy who wants to adopt, you're the exception.

  2. Beautiful.  You should be able to adopt.  It might be more difficult being single, but you can do it.

You could do a private domestic adoption (contact attorney or agency), an international adoption (contact an agency) or a foster care adoption (contact your state's office that handles that...you can find a link here: http://www.childwelfare.gov/pubs/reslist... for more info).

    Go for it!

  3. i would get back to dating.  i think that adoption agencies prefer to have a two person parental unit rather than 1.  and not to be sexist, but they may not want to give a single man a child versus a single woman

  4. Good for you.

  5. Absolutely!

I wanted to adopt since I was 14!

  6. I actually know a guy in his 30's that is working on adoption through the Deparment of Social Services.  He has taken the appropriate classes already and is waiting for the right child for him (or rather they are waiting to find him for a child as it works).  I don't see any issues with it but there may be the right agency that you might have to go through to find it acceptable unfortunately.  Definitely not out of the question though.  Good luck!

  7. Even if you've given up on dating, I'm sure that adopting children would attract women. You could always get a surrogate. I would encourage adoption, there are so many children that need a loving home!
