Single mom in need of help?

I am a single mom with a 7 month old and I always hear people talking about how much help they get from the government for paying bills and ect so I went online and looked up some things and really found nothing everything I found ended up to where I had to pay something my question is can i get help from the government with paying my bills and if so where do I start I work 2 jobs and currently take care of my son by myself and its really hard andyextra help or advice would be greatly appreciated!!

  1. If you have extra time you should take night classes to try and gain a higher paying job. Once you rely on the government they trap you and you will always rely on them.

    There is plenty of help for single mothers in terms of paying for your tuition for school. Good luck.


  2. I used to be a single parent and the only things I am aware of are food stamps and a check which you can't get if you are working. You can get daycare paid if you are a student and qualify...There are your standard programs which pay utilities if you have a shut off notice like catholic utilities, etc.. but just the govt giving you money.. I don't know.. that would encourage too many people to go out and get pregnant just to get free money. There are a lot of scholarships/grants for single parents but that's all I know about.. NEVER PAY for anything like that.. if it's free, it's free.. I wish I could help..
