Single mom needs lot of help with car please ant idea would b great?

i have a 1998 ford taurus SE that I just bought three months ago i have a total of 1100 to buy and repair the motor.... problem is I live in the state where the cars are born good old Michigan and no body I mean no body has the stupid motor I need. ( it is a durahtech 3.0 duel overhead cam.) just in case anyone knows where I can find one in the michigan area. But hear are my option buy another car for 1000 or get the motor rebuilt which another piston could even go after that..... anyone have any ideas on what I should do please let me know and I don't really need shittty *** comments left cause this is a hard time for me right now so keep the rudeness to yourself if you are going to say anything mean thanks hope someone has something I can do!

1. What is the condition of your car? body,other problem's that will have to be addressed in the next year? And your overall opinion of the car?

2. You say you can get another car for $1000 is it a known (friend's car) are you able to get it checked out.

not worth it to replace engine on most cars but especially that car. Better to save money and buy new one. Avoid domestic and go foreign cars next time. If car is driveable just sell it as is. If not driveable dismantle it and sell it as parts and you will get more money for it but you have to know or know someone who knows how to dismantle it.
