I have long hair. It is healthy, I brush it, wash it, and condition in daily. But every once in a while I find that a single strand is in a small knot. Is this normal?

  1. happens to me all the time..i go to sleep i wake up with huge knots in my hair, i think its pretty common with long hair..

  2. I would say that is not common, although it may happen sometimes.

The reason is that long hair can get out of line very easily, and it can get itself tied in a knot.  But that takes a lot of work to be able to do that!

You probably shouldn't have the long hair, or learn how to manage it better.  Don't let it hang loose so it gets messy like that.  Wear it under control -- use scrunchies, or ponytail bands, or bandanas, or anything to keep it from going in all directions and forming tangles and knots.

If you look after your hair, then it will look good.  But if you are having trouble with it, perhaps you should consider going just a little shorter.  Until you find a good length that you can handle.

  3. Mine does it a lot I think it's caused by going to bed with wet hair. your question put me in mind of grade school. the old wise tail goes  that when you found one you were to break the hair by pulling on both sides of the knot if the knot came out then you would not meet your true love   if it stayed knotted then he/she loved you and would meet.hope you don't mind the story.:)

  4. lmao... mine does that all the time!

i am just guessing that it is because i braid it and put it in buns and strands are BOUND to tangle [[and/or tie]] themselves into knots every once in a whole.

  5. yah its normal but i think in your case that you brush and conditioned it daily, i think its not normal.
