Single want to adopt a child?

elo. i am wondering whether i can adopt a child? i am a single male staying alone.do i qualify to adopt a child?

As long as you meet the criteria of the agency or place your going through you shouldn’t have a problem a lot of singles adopt both men and women. They would want to know that you can provide a stable home for a child, that you can financial take care of the child. This doesn’t mean that you  have to be wealthy, just that you can pay for your basics and probably not be scrapping by.

It depends all on your financial status, where you live and your living conditions, and overall ability to handle a child.

It depends.  You probably don't qualify for international adoption, but many states will consider single men.  It's harder because you're competing with other married couples and single women.  There are some open adoption agencies that work with single men.

There are soooo many children in foster care, i'd start by looking there.

it's a lot more difficult for you to adopt when you're single, and I imagine it's even more difficult when you're a male.. but it can't hurt to try!

any genuine adult (within reason) can apply to adopt,it is whether you pass all the strict procedures. they should not turn you down if you qualify.but,saying that,i would imagine most single people,male or female would be offered an older child rather than a baby.
