Question:

Sink is barely working?

I've had water leaking from the plumbing underneath a bathroom sink sink a few months ago, I haven't used it since. Today I bought new plumbing and replaced everything underneath the sink. I ran the water for a few seconds to test out the pipes and turned it back off. I turned the water on again and now water is barely coming out of the faucet even thought the valves underneath the sink are open.

What could be causing this and how do I fix this?

thanks

  1. The problem may be obstruction in the water supply line(s). Since you've changed the pipes, it would'nt hurt to change the 2 water supply lines. Turn the water off, then remove one of the braided lines, take it to your local hardware store. Match your old with 2 new. Check the connection threads on both ends to ensure you have the same sizes.(3/8", 1/2", etc, etc)

    Good luck

  2. I agree with Aaron A.  There is a blockage.  Sometimes inexpensive faucet valves have cheap plastic "washers" on their ends, which can break and crumble and get into the water line serving the faucet.

  3. you had something come off in the plumbing happens all the time,  first you need to take off the aerating screen on the end of the fuacet it unscrews.  wash it off the debris will be obvious usually teflon tape or solder.  If its not in the aerator check your flex hoses going into the faucet fixture.  Youll find the blockage.
