Sint Maarten / St. Martin question--need a small studio apt for 1 week for 2 girls, 600-800$ week?

The French side is better for renting.. The Dutch side is for casinos and shopping.

Better food,  landscape and beaches on the French side- St. Martin. You also meet the real people who live there, not the ones who want your dollars.



You have to go in the Summer for the lower weekly rate.



The tourist board will give you reputable companies that rent.

There some places (guest house)in french side that are close by the marina that for 70US$ daily. (hotel prices there are high in the island) it is a 2 beds and kitchenette. it is good for the price. . very convenience area most store are close by so you just have to walk.

click on caribbean then St Maarten. Check the Simpson Bay area. Lots of nice restaurants and bars. Check every area to get an idea of what things cost and what's available.

Check this website for ideas and reviews. There are some inexpensive places to stay. Mary's Boon Beach Plantation,Pasanggrahan Royal Guest House. Can't recommend any but read tripadvisor reviews from previous guests staying there.

We enjoyed the Dutch side and liked the idea we didn't have to deal with euros. Dutch side widely accepts dollars.
