  1. wait til she is 2 or 3 or 4 don't take it away from her just let her decide

my nephews were both 3 when they got off the sippy we ocasionally use the ones with straws if we are going on 2 hour trips(driving time )

2 hours to get there 2 hours to get back

if you are still giving the bottle then start putting water in it (my nephew stopped on formula at 13 months and stopped on the bottle at 19 months) we let him have the bottle until he kept throwing it and busting the top off he drank out of a sippy from 1-3 years

  2. I didn't take away my sons sippy cup till 2.5 years old.  It all depends on the mommy.  Do it when you and your child are comfortable.

  3. It might be the cup she doesn't like?

Or it could be that she wants to try drinking out of a real cup now?

She will drink when she is thirsty.

  4. I found using Nuby Sippy Cups worked best when trying to get my daughter on the sippy cup. She's 16 months now. What we did was gave water in the cup, and still gave milk in the bottle, but decreased how many bottles of milk she had. Over a few months time, we increased how many sippy cups of milk she had. Now she's completely on sippy cups.

Try using the Nuby Sippy Cups. You can find them at Wal-Mart. It has a soft spout like the bottle does, but isn't shaped like a bottle nipple, and the cup part is more like a bottle than most other sippy cups. I think the fact that it was still so much like a bottle helped her transition from bottle to cup much easier. Now she has no problem taking any cup that we give her.

    Good luck!!
