Blackburn Rovers failed to win their latest must win encounter against Bolton Wanderers who are also finding it hard to make it out of the relegation mire at the moment. The match saw Blackburn Rovers score just once against their
opposition at the Ewood Park and as a result they failed to gain any points from the match. Kean was the subject of abuse at the end of the match as he has been outlined as the main cause of Blackburn’s decline.
Kean himself has already stated that he will not part ways with the club on his own accord and that he will be surprised if he is told that he is no longer required by the club. Nonetheless, Ferguson has come out and put his weight
behind Kean who has been treated by the Blackburn fans in quite a harsh manner.
Sir Alex said, "I have not seen anything as bad as that. He seems to be in complete control of himself at press conferences and has not let events get to him. It is remarkable that under that kind of pressure he can retain his
dignity the way he has done. I tried to phone him the other day but he is probably right to keep it off."
He added that it has been terrible to watch become the subject of abuse at Ewood Park and that it reflects the trends in the society and the behaviour exhibited from the fans. He further stated, "We are all emotional. We all like
to see our team win. But for goodness sake, give the lad a break."
