in the English Premier League is known to have a good relationship with the former Porto manager. Jose was infamously in the headlines when Porto defeated Manchester United in the UEFA Champions League quarterfinal in the previous decade.
When Porto scored the winning goal, Jose ran down the touchline to celebrate inciting hatred from the Old Trafford faithful. Manchester United are now set to embark on another UEFA Champions League campaign this time around and
there is a healthy chance that they might face off against Real Madrid in the latter stages of the tournament. Last season both Madrid and Manchester United were knocked out of the UEFA Champions League.
Jose’s team were knocked out at the semi-final stage by the Catalan giants whereas United lost in the UEFA Champions League final at Wembley stadium. Sir Alex said in his latest interview that he didn’t find anything wrong with
the enthusiasm that is embedded in Ferguson’s game. He added that when he was younger, he showed more enthusiasm as well as he was more active on the touch line.
Ferguson added, "I don't find anything wrong with his enthusiasm. When I was younger I showed more enthusiasm on the bench too. I was always gesticulating and directing. It's Mourinho's nature to be agitated. When I saw Mourinho
run up and down the touchline at Old Trafford when he coached Porto, I said to myself, 'Did I also use to do that?'
The veteran Scotsman added that people identify Jose with his enthusiasm as he also fights for the fans when he acts the way he does. Jose had a tough season with Real Madrid last season as they ended up as the second best team
in the Spanish league.
Speaking about Barcelona, Real Madrid’s rivals Manchester United’s manager said, "It is certainly among the best sides of all time. But so was the Milan side with (http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roberto-c31294) Donadoni and the Dutch
players. People in football have short memories. Now everyone says http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 are a fantastic squad, but at the time they said the same thing about Milan. There is no sense in asking which is the best team of all time.” Real Madrid are due to kick off their
UEFA Champions League campaign along with Manchester United and Barcelona in the second week of September, 2011.
