Sir Alex Ferguson expects Dimitar Berbatov to reach 25 goal mark
Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has urged http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Dimitar-Berbatov-c11254 to score at least 25 goals this season. The 29-year-old was on target yet again, as he scored a brilliant brace against Sunderland in their Boxing Day encounter
to take United to a five-point lead over Arsenal (and a six-point lead over defending champions Chelsea).
The player, who made his move from Tottenham to United in 2008, had failed to make an impact since his arrival at the club but seems to have hit a green patch of form this season. The brace against Sunderland has taken the player’s
goal tally to 14 goals in all competitions. The 2-0 victory over Sunderland didn’t do justice to how well the team played overall, as the Black Cats were left stranded for the entire game. The Bulgarian currently tops the Premier League rankings of top scorers
with 13 goals – the sole representation of Manchester United in the current top 10 list.
Even though the Bulgarian received a pat from Ferguson himself following his substitution at the 80th minute, the boss demanded much more from the 29-year-old.
"There are certain games when we like to play one up front and three central midfield players, Dimitar understands that. But his form has been terrific. He is on 13 goals now. If he can get us to 25, we need one more to get around
that figure, then we will have a good chance," stated the Scotsman.

"I keep moaning at him when he doesn't score in training. But he always says 'don't worry, I will score in the game'. He showed me that. He is working hard. He is a good guy and is different class," claimed the left-back.

nearly six months and with past figures stating that the side only gets better as the season progresses, United are the favourites to lift the league title.
United now travel to St. Andrews tomorrow to face Birmingham City, with Patrice Evra relishing the chance to have a go at the midlands club. Last season, United were held to draw and Evra accepted it was one of the coldest environment
he had ever played in. The Frenchman stated that it was difficult to breathe at the Stadium last season and would want to be ready for everything for Tuesday’s fixture.
