Sir Alex Ferguson hails 'incredible' Ryan Giggs
Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has lavished praise on http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ryan-Giggs-c31985 on the eve of the midfielder’s 600th match for the Red Devils.
In 2008, Ryan Giggs surpassed Sir Bobby Charlton’s record for most appearances for Manchester United, and the veteran midfielder shows no signs of slowing down. The match against Tottenham will be Giggs’ 600th appearance for the club – a phenomenal
achievement that is sure to stand the test of time.
Sir Alex Ferguson had nothing but praise for the evergreen Welshman as he reaches yet another milestone in his distinguished career. The Manchester United manager said, “Ryan is an incredible human being. He defies the logic of forwards when he plays at
the level he did last Sunday (against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 in the F.A Cup). Ryan has been doing that for two decades. No other player has ever done that - or is ever likely to. He is an amazing man.”
Giggs joined Manchester United way back in 1987. He made his first appearance for the club in the 1990-91 season and quickly established himself as a mainstay in the starting eleven. Since then, the player has become something of an icon at Old Trafford,
winning an astounding 23 trophies with Manchester United during his time at the club.
Ryan Giggs is currently in his 21st season as a Manchester United player, a feat which is unlikely to be ever replicated by any other player. Even at the age of 37, the midfielder is far from done. Amazingly, Giggs could go on to play his 22nd
season for Manchester United, as Sir Alex is seriously considering the possibility of giving the midfielder a contract extension.
The Manchester United boss believes that he knows how to get the best from Giggs, which has been one of the main reasons that the Welshman has had such a long career with the Red Devils. Sir Alex said, “Obviously, we know how to manage him. He doesn't play
every week but he makes a contribution that lifts the team.”
Giggs is set to make his 600th appearance for Manchester United when the Red Devils face Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.
