Sir Alex Ferguson has hit back at http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roberto-c31294 Mancini for declaring that the title race is over and that Manchester City do not have a chance of winning the Premier League trophy this season by saying that there are still five
games to go in the present league calendar...
Sir http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mancini-c23323 by reminding the Manchester City manager that his team still have to play five more league matches this season and the unpredictable nature of the English Premier League means
that anything can still happen in the title race.
Manchester United lost their latest league match against Wigan at the DW stadium which means that they now have a five point advantage over Manchester City who are set to take on Norwich City at the weekend. Mancini’s team won
their last league encounter against West Bromwich Albion but they need to keep up their form if they intend to catch up to Manchester United.
On the other hand, Sir Alex will hope that his men do not become complacent as they did against Wigan and maintain their form against Aston Villa on the weekend, a tie that it is a must win over Manchester United as they still
have to play against City in the latter stages of April. Sir Alex said, "I think he has maybe picked the wrong time to say it - there are still five games to go. The Premier League is fascinating. Our experience will help us and Sunday's game is the one to
focus on."
He added, "The great part of our club is that we do recover, and we have to recover from Wednesday. You drop points in the second half of the season. We have done it most years. There has been an odd year when we have gone on a
long run without losing but a couple of years back we lost 4-1 to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 and won the league. You do drop points on the run-in. City and ourselves have both experienced that."
