Sir Alex Ferguson issues title warning
It looks as though Manchester United will pip Arsenal and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wayne-Rooney-c36736 looks back to his imperious best.
The 25-year-old http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 international has looked well below par throughout the season, yet Sir Alex Ferguson’s side have still maintained their unbeaten run in the league.
Last night the current double footballer of the year showed signs he is ready to burst into life in the second half of the season, and the title is Manchester United’s to lose now that their talisman has found his goal scoring touch.
Many experts are of the opinion that the Red Devils can sustain their unbeaten record for the duration of the season, but feels they are better equipped than Arsenal, Manchester City and Chelsea.
Last night against Aston Villa it was the revival of Wayne Rooney. Seeing him back on form is going to worry the whole of the league. He has been out injured in the first part of the season, off the back of the World Cup, but against Villa, Wayne Rooney
looked a totally different player. He was getting into positions behind defenders and looking menacing.
Alex Ferguson told media reporters, “We don't want to lose and will work hard to keep this way because we want to finish the season in first".
The funny thing is that shivers will be sent down the spine because United have managed to go unbeaten without him playing a large part. But if he starts, as I expect he will, everyone is going to play second fiddle to Manchester United".
It would be naive to presume that they will remain unbeaten for whole of the season as someone will eventually turn them over because they've got some tough games to come. But United are notoriously better in the second half of the season.
Chelsea is too far behind to challenge them for the title and Arsenal still lack consistency, but have showed more resilience this term.
