Sir Alex Ferguson looking to bring Luka Modric, Jack Rodwell, Jordan Henderson and Ashley Young to Old Trafford
According to numerous reports Manchester United’s manager, Alex Ferguson, is looking to reshape his midfield by potentially bringing in four new midfielders. The players that have managed to make the manager’s short list include http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jack-Rodwell-c17462,
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jordan-Henderson-c19102 and Ashley Young.
At the moment, it appears that out of the four player’s listed above, Luka Modric is top of the priority list. The Tottenham midfielder has been in breathtaking form so far this season and seems to have just hit his peak. As a result Ferguson is looking
to lure the player in, to use him as a replacement for the soon to retire http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Paul-Scholes-c29394. However if the manager is to secure the player’s signature, then he is potentially going to have to part ways with as much as thirty million pounds to do so.
The next player on the manager’s radar is Jack Rodwell. The youngster from Everton has been highly impressive so far with the Merseyside outfit and has even managed to play ample first team football in his short career so far. Ferguson is looking to land
Rodwell and help him adapt to the United style of play before someone else tries to make a move for the player. What United have working in their favour is the fact that Everton’s manager, David Moyes, has recently hinted that he may have to let go of some
of his players, like Rodwell, in order to generate some funds to reinforce his striking options. If United wants to land Rodwell, then they will have to part with around fifteen million pounds.
The most surprising name on the list is that of Sunderland’s midfielder, Jordan Henderson. Henderson has been highly impressive so far with the Black Cats but no one ever thought that Ferguson would show any interest in landing the player. However the fact
that the midfielder is only twenty-year-old might have caused the manager to show interest. Nonetheless, Henderson has managed to be one of the most crucial members of the Sunderland midfield over the course of the last two seasons and could soon be on his
way to Old Trafford as part of a ten million pound transfer deal.
Last up on Ferguson’s list is Aston Villa winger, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Gerard-c14664
Houllier, the manager at Aston Villa, seemed to have helped the player think otherwise. However, with the team not managing to live up to expectations, mostly due to their poor performances this season, it wouldn’t be surprising to see their talismanic forward
leave the club for personal success. Young is currently twenty-five-years old and has proven that he deserves a chance to play football with the best teams in the world and at the moment, teams just don’t happen to get bigger then Manchester United. According
to experts if United are to land the versatile winger, they are going to have to stump out as much as twenty five million pounds to do so.
