Sir http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alex-c4752 Ferguson looks forward to the trip to West Brom – English Premier League
Sir Alex Ferguson, the Manchester United manager has come out and said that he sees a six way battle for the title in the 2011-2012 English Premier League season. Manchester United won the English Premier League last time around
and in doing so they completed their dominance over the English league as they became the most successful club in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 with a 19th league triumph.
Manchester United’s title charge this season starts at West Bromwich Albion, who they face off against at the Hawthorns stadium on Sunday, the 14th of August, 2011. Last week, Manchester United recorded a historic Community
Shield win against their local rivals Manchester City after crawling back from a two goal first half deficit to win the match 3-2 in the added time period of the second half. Ferguson introduced the likes of Tomas Cleverley and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Phil-Jones-c29903 into the fray at
the half time break in the Community Shield.
Speaking about the rest of the title contenders, Ferguson remarked in his latest interview that they all were aware that United and City participated in the Community Shield last week. The Scotsman downplayed his team’s win against
Manchester City at Wembley by saying that the real stuff starts on Sunday when the English Premier League begins for Manchester United with their trip to the Hawthorns stadium.
Commenting on the Community Shield Ferguson said, "Wembley was an occasion. There was rivalry and everyone was motivated. We have to show that in every game. It is going to be tough. It will be a hard campaign, it always is. We
will wake up to the fact last week was a different game." Manchester United’s comeback at the Wembley stadium was assisted by a young squad which consisted of several players who came up through their own youth academy such as Cleverley and Welbeck.
With an extraordinarily large squad coupled with some incredible young talent, Ferguson also went onto speak about his selection troubles and how the Community Shield contributed to them. He stated, "Picking my team is made easier
by the second-half performance last week. When you are 2-0 down in these big games, you don't expect what we saw. Welbeck has played at Wembley two or three times but we wanted to find out how Phil Jones equipped himself, plus Smalling and Cleverley. They
were fantastic but we still have to respect the experience of the ones who came off at half-time."
Manchester United will do doubt look to gain all three points against West Bromwich Albion, it will be interesting to see what line up Sir Alex Ferguson goes with as he has to achieve a fine balance between youth and experience
in his new look Manchester United squad.
