Manchester United’s long standing manager, Sir Alex Ferguson has requested the club’s fans to be limited in their overtly enthusiastic endeavours on United’s away trips in his latest attempt to take action against United’s quota
problem with regard to other Premier League clubs on their travels. Manchester United’s away support which is seen as one of the most troublesome is a major cause of contention between the club and their Premier League rivals as a result of misbehaviour in
the past by Manchester United’s away support, the club’s quota of away tickets has been reduced by several clubs across http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749.
Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester City, Liverpool and Bolton Wanderers are a few of the clubs who have already taken action against United’s away support by reducing their quota of tickets. Ticket allocation this season has been an
issue for United who wanted their full ticket quotas for their away trips but host clubs refused to honour that agreement due to United’s away support’s refusal to bow down to security measures at different grounds across England. Sir Alex Ferguson’s latest
letter addressed to the fans has been aimed at addressing this issue.
The letter states, "Despite intense lobbying by the club on your behalf, there will only be just over 1,900 United fans at Anfield. We can't allow this situation to continue. I've said many times that your support is a vital part
of our success and, trust me, the players do notice when your numbers are cut. One of the reasons provided by clubs for giving a reduced allocation was safety, but the main reason was supporters' behaviour".
Manchester United’s next away game is against Liverpool at Anfield which has prompted Sir Alex Ferguson to send this letter out United’s away support. After their match against Liverpool, United play host to Manchester City at
Old Trafford in the Manchester derby as the race for the English Premier League title heats up.
