Sir Alex Ferguson rules Manchester City, Chelsea out of Premier League title race
Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has ruled Manchester City and Chelsea out of the Barclays Premier League title contention and has claimed that the title hunt is now a two-horse race between his team and Arsenal.
The Red Devils are currently leading the Barclays Premier League table with 57 points out of 26 games. But they are only a point ahead of the second placed Arsenal and still have a match in hand.
Manchester United local rivals Manchester City, who are currently enjoying third place in the League standings, are eight points behind Sir Alex Ferguson’s men. City’s title hopes were crushed by United after the Sky Blues suffered a defeat at Old Trafford.
The Barclays Premier League titleholders Chelsea are way behind Manchester United in the title hunt. Carlo Ancelotti’s men are currently placed fifth and are 12 points adrift of the League leaders.
