The veteran tactician says that Roy Hodgson’s timing at Liverpool was a bad one for both him and the club as Manchester United prepare to take on Roy’s new club West Bromwich Albion in the English Premier League...
Sir http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 was not fruitful for either the manager or the club as one cannot possibly doubt Hodgson’s ability to lead
the football club. Roy Hodgson took over at Liverpool at the start of last season when Rafael Benitez was shown the door at Anfield.
The former Fulham manager who led the Cottagers to a Europa League final failed to make an impact at Anfield as the crowd turned against him and before the January transfer window of 2011, the Englishman was shown the door just
like his predecessor. Hodgson’s credibility as a football manager suffered a great deal at Liverpool as the players became unhappy with his methods and soon wanted a change at the club.
Sir Alex Ferguson said, "Roy couldn't win at Anfield. There's no question about that. Sometimes the timing is bad for certain jobs and that was bad timing for him. But you cannot dispute his credibility, his ability and the career
he has had."
The Manchester United manager also went onto speak about his own club as United lost their mid-week Europa League round of 16 tie against Athletic Bilbao at Old Trafford by two goals to three. Sir Alex said, "The players know the
challenge they face. They have a great opportunity after the result last week against Spurs. It is an opportunity to kick on in the league and hopefully we'll manage to do that. West Bromwich are in a bit of good form just now. They've won their last three,
scored five against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 last weekend. We respect that.”
Manchester United will hope that they can get all three points against West Bromwich Albion this weekend before they travel away to Bilbao next week in order to rescue their round of 16 Europa League tie by winning the second leg
