Sir Alex Ferguson terms Ashley Cole’s tackle as shocking – English Premier League

However Javier Hernandez was at the end of a reckless tackle from Ashley Cole in the second half when he was about to take a shot on goal for the home team. Cole’s tackle was a studs up one which made contact with Hernandez’s shin.
The Mexican striker limped off after receiving treatment but Sir Alex Ferguson came down hard on the referee as well as Chelsea’s left back in his post match comments.
The veteran Scotsman said, "To me, it was a shocking tackle. An absolutely shocking tackle. The referee's booked him and, if he's booked him, I don't know why it wasn't a penalty. I must ask him [Dowd]. We don't know how Hernandez
will be. We're going to have to wait until the morning but, at the moment, his leg is very numb. He's hardly got any feeling in it so he could be out for a couple of weeks."
