Sir Alex Fergson has come out and blasted Gus Poyet for his remarks in favour of Luis Suarez after the Uruguayan striker was recently charged with racist remarks directed at Patrice Evra. F.A concluded their investigation and announced
that they will be taking action against Suarez after Evra complained that Suarez had referred to him in a racist way during Manchester United’s match at Liverpool earlier on in the season.
Suarez has been impressive for Livepool in the English Premier League therefore any punishment levied at him will hurt Liverpool’s title chances as well as their chances of finishing in the top four of the Premier League to secure
UEFA Champions League football for next season.
Gus Poyet took a strong stance in favour of Suarez in his recent comments to the media as he accused http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Patrice-Evra-c29231 of exploiting the situation at hand and making Suarez look guilty through his complaints to the Football Association.
Sir http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alex-c4752 leapt to his French left back’s defence and criticized Gus Poyet for his remarks in Manchester United’s latest press conference as the Scotsman said that Gus’ remarks were inappropriate at the present moment in time due to the focus on racism in FIFA
amidst remarks by Sepp Blatter.
He added that people across the footballing world are condemning racism in football but Poyet is speaking in favour of a person who has been accused of racist comments. The former Aberdeen manager also added, “I don't know how
the question has been loaded but it seems his criticism of Evra is a bit silly. We have been asked by the FA not to say anything about the Evra situation. We have abided by that, Liverpool have been drip-feeding a lot of stuff out over the last couple of weeks.
But the FA will deal with it.”
On the other hand, Poyet reinforced his stance on the whole matter and said that he will even go to the court or any investigative proceedings to testify in favour of Luis Suarez because he knows that the Uruguayan striker is not
racist. Nonetheless, it remains to be seen whether or not F.A will impose a harsh match ban on Suarez after their announcement that they will be taking action against the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 striker.
