The Manchester United manager says that his team are ready to battle in the Premier League title race and also sheds light on past rivalries with Mourinho and Arsene Wenger in English football...
Sir Alex Ferguson has come out and paid tribute to the English Premier League as being one of the toughest league’s in the world to win in his recent interview as Manchester United prepare to take on Chelsea at Stamford Bridge
in their next league tie in London. United are currently second in the Premier League standings behind Manchester City who have a three point advantage over the Red Devils courtesy of their win over Fulham yesterday.
Manchester United won their last league encounter against Stoke City by a convincing margin of two goals but now things turn to Stamford Bridge where Untied have not won a league match in the last ten years. However with their
current form on their side, United can take heart from the fact that they have won their last four encounters against Chelsea who are finding it hard to compete in the Premier League title race this season.
Sir http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Scotland-c756, and when you get
up there, it’s so fantastic. The only problem is you’ve got to come down.”
He added, “It’s a tribute to us. We won our first Premier League title in the 1992-93 season – 20 years later we’re still in there battling. We had 10 years with Arsenal, which were tough, and the games became physical and controversial.
Chelsea got off to a good start under Jose Mourinho and we found it difficult to catch them. It’s a tough league. You don’t get two teams streets ahead, as you do in other leagues, like http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Portugal-c2984.”
The veteran Scotsman will hope that his team can gain all three points against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 as they need to keep pace with Manchester City till the end of the season and at least remain level on points with them and try to decrease
the goal difference as well.
