Sir Alex Ferguson stated after Manchester United’s six goals to one defeat by Manchester City that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jonny-Evans-c19085’ sending off killed the game for Manchester United who had started the match better than their local rivals. United
had kicked off in fine style and dominated the run of play until Manchester City scored unexpectedly against United’s shaky defence.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Rio-Ferdinand-c31173 and Patrice Evra were found
wanting at the back as United conceded six goals at the theatre of dreams.
Sir http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alex-c4752 said in his post-match comments to the press that United will be okay by January as they play some of their easier fixtures over the course of the Christmas period. Furthermore, the Scotsman outlined that United are scheduled
to play some of the teams from the top half of the table near the February 2012 period, a time that will be critical to United’s title hopes if they want to make a difference.
Jonny Evans was sent off for tugging Mario Balotelli’s shirt as the Italian defender was clean through on goal. The Northern Irishman was sent off as a result United went down to ten men. United’s veteran manager added, “I think
the sending off did play a big part. You can’t believe that score line if you see it for the first time. For the first 25 minutes we were outstanding and dominated the game.”
He further elaborated, “The sending off was certainly the killer for us and after that, we just kept attacking. In the nature of Manchester United that is all well and good, but once it gets to 4-1 the defenders should just say
‘that is it for today”.
Manchester United now play http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Everton-c13019 in their next league encounter at Goodison Park next weekend in what is expected to be a tough away fixture for the Premier League champions. United’s worries lie in their midfield department
