How many centuries do you think he could have made if he had played as many tests as Sachin ( above 140)?

  1. I guess what this actually highlights, is the fact that even though many people wish to disagree, is that The Don was the best by long way.

You can only work it out on averages and that Bradman’s average was near enough to 100, it is pretty safe to assume that he would have continued to score centuries at the same rate.

He would have therefore scored around 70-80 centuries.  Remember that many of his centuries were usually big centuries!!

Therefore you can add another 5000 runs minimum just based on centuries. However being his average was near on 100 anyway, it is pretty safe to assume that his aggregate of runs would have been far higher than that!

So, if he was to play almost 3 times as many tests, he would have ended with somewhere around 18000 runs at least - now that is impressive!

  2. His average after 140 matches would have been less than 35.

  3. only 40 centuries dont go for 100 and never compare him with tendulkar becz he has also played oddis iam not insulting him i relally respect he was a great cricketer

  4. Well if you go by his First Class record-

He played 234 First Class matches for New South Wales and Western Australia!! in those 234 matches he scored 117 centuries!. at an average of 95.14!. (amazing i know!)

So if he made 117 centuries in 234 (exactly half) first class matches, then you could be able to estimate that he would make at least between 65-70 test match 100's for Australia. Bradman had 5 years of his career cut short by the War, so if the War never it is likely that Bradman could have scored 40 test match centuries

  5. He is by far the greatest batsman ever.

  6. 29/52 = about 0.56

Had the Don played 150 tests scoring 100's at this rate, he would have scored about 84 centuries.

He would have had about 3 times as many innings - 240.

3 times as many not outs - 30

    210 x 100 = 21000 test runs.
