Sir Frank Williams admires Bruno Senna’s performance in Hungarian GP – Formula 1 news
Williams’ team owner, Sir Frank Williams has admired the performance of their driver, Bruno Senna who secured an impressive 7th place finish in the Hungarian Grand Prix.
Senna made his way into the final qualifying session during the Hungarian GP for the first time in the season so far and secured 9th grid position. Later, he performed incredibly well in the race and secured seventh position.
Even though, he has been outperformed by his teammate, Pastor Maldonado who took his maiden victory in the Spanish GP after claiming his first ever pole position. Nonetheless, he has gained confidence after the last race and has been praised by Williams
who asserted that the Brazilian driver has become matured and has developed himself immensely well.
Furthermore, he said that he is feeling extremely pleased with the overall performance of his team. Besides, he said that is happy to see Senna racing like a superb driver and expressed that he is trying his best to keep on learning from his mistakes so
as to improve his performance in the remaining nine races after the mid-season break.
“Yes I think you are right, it probably was a bit of a coming of age in F1. It was a strong drive, I would say pretty much without mistake at all,” he said. “It sounds condescending but we all sit in pits and watch these races and we're almost emotionally
with drivers, urging them on as they're striving away. You still get that feeling from within and I just felt from Bruno he was really getting on with job and needed little mental urging from pits accordingly. He's very intelligent and I think he'll work it
out for himself quite well.”
At present, Senna is standing at 15th place in the drivers’ championship with 24 points. Additionally, he is ahead of Nico Hulkenberg of Force India and is just a point behind Felipe Massa of Ferrari.
Over and above, he has got the talent and the potential to achieve more in the future and is pushing hard for it. Let’s see how he shows up after the ongoing summer smash.
