Sir Frank Williams believes Pastor will perform better in 2013 – Formula 1 news
Williams’ team owner, Sir Frank Williams believes that their driver, Pastor Maldonado will perform better in the 2012 Formula 1 season.
The Grove based team has lately announced its next year’s driver line-up which includes Maldonado and Valtteri Bottas who has been the test driver until now.
Moreover, Maldonado’s present teammate, Bruno Senna couldn’t secure his race seat in the team for the next season and has been dropped off as he didn’t perform well in this season.
Even though, the Venezuelan driver also struggled with his pace in most of the races and failed to attain promising results for his team just like Senna. However, he successfully scored his maiden victory in the Spanish Grand Prix and brought Williams their
first win since 2004.
Besides, he has a huge sponsor in his pocket which has made his position stronger than the 29-year-old in the team.
Williams has admired the performance of the 27-year-old in this season and hopes to see further improvements in his performance in the next season.
It will to be noted that Maldonado has faced immense criticism over his harsh driving style in this season because of which he received a lot of criticism and was penalised also for quite a few times. Nevertheless, the 70-year-old has expressed his confident
on their veteran driver and said that they are looking forward to come up stronger in the next year.
“Pastor has incredible raw pace and the ability to ring the neck of a car and find speed where others would not. He is showing more and more maturity with each race and his dominant display at the Spanish Grand Prix showed that he can handle pressure and
drive a flawless race. With another season under his belt, I’m sure that next year he can confirm his position as one of the top drivers,” he said.
The British squad has shown impressive developments in this year and they are trying their best to bring more significant updates in the coming season to attain competitive points.
It will be exciting to see how they perform with their changed driver line-up in the next season.
