Tarique Ghaffur is the third most senior police officer in the UK, how can he possibly claim racial discrimination during his career?

He is also claiming discrimination on the grounds of religion, again how could this possibly be true if he has risen to the lofty heights of Metropolitan Assistant Commissioner?

I would appreciate your thoughts on this matter.

  1. There are times when calling people "racist" is a way of making money and also a way of increasing mass immigration to the UK.  I am not saying Tarique Ghaffur is guilty of using the racist mantra to gain an advantage but I think Ian Blair may have  a counter charge of slanderous misrepresentation

  2. Abuse of the law for the detriment of others who are being racially discriminated against - It just stinks - it's the extra pension option.

You are right a clash of personalities is just that, Ian Blair is not a 'racist'.

I have never thought about bringing a case of racial discrimination because I don't get on with a colleague, as an Anglo-Finn my be I should start thinking of my pay off - watch this space!

  3. there damed if they doo and there dammed if they dont LMAO

  4. Maybe the question should be, is Tarique Ghaffur a racist?  After all, he's the one who's accusing somebody of not promoting him because he's white and therefore prejudiced.  If I had a black boss and told him, "you're not promoting me because you only want to promote your black mates", I think I might be in trouble...

  5. Ian Blair is not a racist, just a Prat who will bend whichever way the wind is blowing - nothing personal!

  6. The pair of them should have been sacked for total incompetence years ago - they've gone this round too many times with that silly pr**t Blair doing the appeasement thing and wearing a flour bag on his head! He looked worse than the vicar in Dads' Army! For the love of God, let's get rid of both of these cretins!

  7. Blair is entitled to choose who he wants for the job and he does not have to justify his reasons.  However, I could guess what his reasons are.   A police officer who allows things to be 'leaked' to the press is hardly to be trusted.  Blair obviously thought Ghaffur was not suitable, I agree, and I think Ghaffur was a fool to publicly declare war on the Met.   He should be forced to resign immediately, he has obviously reached or perhaps over reached the limit of his capabilities.

Any police officer who is happy to have a public slanging match with his boss, not to mention using the press to get what he wants is unfit for his job.

  8. The Daily Mail sucks!

No, I can't accept the fact that Lionel Blair is a rapist.

  9. I am sure Sir Ian Bair is capable of being a racist, since he is capable of supporting his officers even when they murder innocent Brazilians.

  10. As far as I know from people who  serve in the Met, they actually operate a "positive  discrimination" policy, actively seeking to recruit and promote ethnic minorities.

You don´t rise to a senior post earning 180,000 a year if your boss is a racist hellbent on keeping you down.

And as the article says if he had any nous he´d have done this away from the media glare.

  11. daily mail article.... don't believe a word of it

  12. ,Sir Ian Blair is stupid, incompetent, and arrogant, but a racist, no !

  13. No , I think Mr Ghaffur is though.

  14. obviously

otherwise he would just roll over and let this man have just what he wants

it is obvious he is racist because he is white and is being accused by a muslim

i suspect positive discrimination was used to promote the accusing officer in the first place but it seems being an assistant commissioner isn't good enough

if things aren't going his way it must be because of his 'race' not that maybe he isn't doing as good a job as he should be

  15. As you said in an earlier answer, Tarique Ghaffur has been promoted above his ability. Now that he is struggling in a senior position he is taking this action to try and excuse his poor performance.

  16. Tarique Ghaffur simply wants a payoff, he's probably had enough of his job and thought i know lets pull the race card out to get a pay out. What I'm more concerned with is if it comes to it,who foots the bill for this payout. I sincerely hope it doesn't come out of tax payers money !! :)
