Sir Jackie Stewart praises Sebastian Vettel of Red Bull Racing – Formula 1 news
Former Formula 1 driver, Sir Jackie Stewart has praised Sebastian Vettel of Red Bull Racing who has won two drivers’ championship titles until now and became the youngest champion in the history of the sport in 2010.
Stewart said that Vettel has performed tremendously well in his career so far and he hopes to see the veteran German driver achieving more in the future as he has got amazing talent and capability.
“I think he's remarkable,” said Stewart. “He certainly was the most mature 24-year-old I had seen in F1. Now he's 25 and I don't see end of that coming I think his mind management has had a lot to do with that. For somebody of that age to have mind recognition
to be able to discipline himself in such fashion I think is extraordinary.”
In addition, he said that Vettel is very good in his personal life in which he is extremely humble even being a world renowned sport celebrity. He also said that the two-time world champion is very much matured as compared to his age. Furthermore, he said
that he will surely continue to deliver amazing performances in the career ahead.
“I think he is surrounded by good people: he's still very good with his family, I think he leads normal life in his own way in comparison to what he is as world figure in sport,” he added.
It will be interesting to mention that the Scottish asserted that Vettel should not leave his current team so as to join Ferrari in 2014 because he has developed a very good relationship with the Milton Keynes based team and should continue with them in
the future.
At present, the defending champion is standing at third place in the drivers’ championship with 122 points. Besides, he is just 2 points behind his teammate, Mark Webber and is 5 points ahead of Lewis Hamilton of McLaren. However, the Spaniard Fernando Alonso
of Ferrari has still a strong lead over the Red Bull pair of drivers.
Let’s see how the he progresses in the remaining nine races after the ongoing mid-season break.
