Sir Prancealot likely to prevail in TNT July Stakes
Sir Prancealot will be chasing a third victory of his career in the TNT July Stakes (Group 2) (Colts & Geldings) at Newmarket in England on Thursday, July 12, 2012. A cash prize of £34,026 has been set for the class-1 winner.
The going will be good to soft in the 6 furlong event, which is scheduled to start at 13:50 GMT. There will be a total of nine young and competitive runners battling out for glory at Newmarket and the spectators will be eagerly awaiting the start of action.
On the other hand, the punters will also be expecting some thrilling moments, but they will be hoping to choose the right runner to place their bets on. One of the nine challengers, who has a solid chance of winning the July Stakes is Sir Prancealot, who
has already tasted victory in his career. He is also backed by the bookmakers, who have priced him 5 to 2 for today’s race.
The two-year-old colt has participated in just three events, but his performances in them have been worth praising. He has managed to win on a couple of times whereas missed out once, which is not a big deal, as things like these can happen in any form of
racing.
The Richard Hannon’s trained runner was rated as favourite in his very first race at Bath and he did not disappoint his team. He was in complete control of the proceedings from the start until the end and had gained an advantage of two lengths before crossing
the finish line.
This performance would have given him a lot of confidence and the bookies also trusted his abilities, rating him as a joint favourite in his second outing. Once again, the young runner managed to meet the expectations and stormed to a comprehensive victory
by four and a half lengths.
Things were heading into the right direction for Tamayuz’s son until his winning run was broken by Dawn Approach in the Coventry Stakes. However, he has got another chance of finding form, but will have to be at his absolute best in order to do so. His partner
will be veteran jockey, Richard Hughes, who accompanied him in the previous two events.
