Sir Viv Richards says he has never seen a better batsman than Sachin Tendulkar – Cricket News
West Indian cricket legend, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Brian-Charles-Lara-c48471 are among the best players in the history
of international cricket, Richards made it clear that no player has been better than the Indian maestro.
"I didn't see Don but to me, in all my years associated with the game, I haven't seen a better batsman than http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Chinnadupargea-Sachin-c50607, then he hasn't arrived yet,” said Richards
The question whether Sachin Tendulkar is a greatest batsman of all times is not new among the cricketing circles. The opinions are evenly split but at the same time, a vast majority of cricket gurus believe that the World has never produced a better batsman
than the Indian ‘little master’.
The Indian star batsman is the highest run-scorer in both 50-over and Test cricket. The 38-year master blaster has scored over 32000 runs in international cricket with help of 99 centuries. The cricket pundits feel that even though Tendulkar has reached
the culmination of his international career, his hunger for runs is not over yet. Former English skipper, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Nasser-Hussain-c78777, has already acknowledged Tendulkar as the best batsman across the globe, better cricketer than even the legendary Bradman who is considered
as all time great.
Comparing two cricket giants, Tendulkar and Bradman, Richards described that the Indian batsman has scored 99 international centuries while Bradman has just 29 Test hundreds to his credit.
He added, "To me the most remarkable thing about Tendulkar is how he has completed the full cycle of his cricketing career, overcoming, pain, agony, failures, fatigue, injuries yet continuing relentlessly till the point the circle was complete."
Furthermore, Richards defended Tendulkar’s decision of withdrawing his name from West Indian tour. The West Indian, who is also considered as one of the top former cricketers, asked Board of Control for Cricket in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750 (BCCI) to understand that Tendulkar
is not a young man anymore, therefore, he must be given proper rest.
