Sirius Radio Reception?

How good is is the reception on the portable Siriuss Radios? Does it ever go out if you take it wherever you go? Can you hear it if you take it into a school building or anywhere else that has thick walls?

  1. It must have a view of the sky aimed in a direction as per the sirius directions unless you live in a community with a sirius repeater that repeats the signal for places that are too closed in to receive the signal.. But most repeaters are low power meaning that the signal is only strong for a certain radius (I'm not  very familiar with the repeater to explain the range)

  2. It is SATELLITE radio... the antenna MUST have a clear view of the horizon to work.
