Sirius/XM Merger?

Question

Will these two companies merge? And if so, what type of channel lineup can Sirius subscribers expect to receive? Will there be more channels?

The merger is waiting to get the green light from various government agencies. I have heard that they eventually want to go to an a la carte pricing where you pay for particular channels. That would only be available on new units. Older/existing units would work the same way as they do now.

It's possible but several organizations are fighting it like the National Organization of Broadcasters. I would be better if they remained separate so that they can remain competitive and give more syndicated radio companies a fighting chance.
