just a question of the most likely merger between Sirius and XM. If/when they do merge, will XM channels be added or what will be the most likely scenario. i have sirius i love it but i am alittle upset we do not get all the channels that the US one has, but we have the majority of them, im wondering if this merger goes through do you think they wouldnt allow some channels on the canadian service? Also why is it that they do not allow all channels the US? is it because the law requires a certain percentage of canadian content or what because im kind of pissed, happy they put howard stern though

  1. There are a number of duplicate channels that will be collapsed into one.

Both XM and Sirius have 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's, Broadway, New Wave, Smooth Jazz, etc channels that should combine.

Don't know what to say about Canada - there are those laws requiring Canadian content.

Some of the news content is the audio of CNN, FOX news and other cable outlets.

Also there's the NASCAR, MLB, NFL and other pro sports channels.

Perhaps there is a separate agreement needed for those channels to be broadcast beyond the USA.

I can't wait for the merge.
