I have a subscription for Sirius and I was wondering what you do in the event that you decide to get a new unit...I have the original sportster and I want to upgrade to the newest model...do I have to cancel my current subscription and get a new one for the new unit, or can I somehow transfer the subscription to the new unit? Anyone have experience with this?

  1. You just call Sirius and they will transfer your subscription.  It takes less than 5 minutes and is free.

  2. Yup, I've done it at XM and Sirius has a very similar deal.

If you're buying the new radio from them, they'll take care of it for you.

But even buying the radio elsewhere the process Is easy, just call customer support and they'll transfer the account. Or you can have both active - the extra $, once you pay full price for one, is only about $7/mo more. Make sure you have the box and the radio when you call.

You can try to do it online, but I'd call for this transaction.
