Sirius vs XM Portable Radios?

Question

I was wondering the pros and cons of each radio and which one would be better in the long run. I've tried to search some reviews comparing them. But they all seem to be biased for one radio or the other. And to just say this now, I would like a radio with good rock stations (alternative, 70's & 80's pretty much any kind actually) I could really care less about sports, pop, or hip hop/rap stations they have to offer. And which one has a more reliable signal. I have a little experience with XM and none with Sirius. :D Thanks for answering.

I can not say much bad about Sirius , except second hand complaints.

I drove a truck , and I installed XM .

I had little problems with reception , and the mix of rock is more than diverse.

5 years no complaints.

both have a good mix of the things you are looking for.  Search on line to find their home pages and  you'll see listings of their programs.  Select the one that you like best. There's a lot of talk of them merging, but it's not even close to a sure thing yet.  I suggest buying a cheap radio for a started so you won't be out that much if your decision is wrong, or one of the companies goes belly up.  Current reliability is about equal.  A good antenna well located will make all the difference, but you must have an external antenna for portable radio use..
