Basically what happened was that Carmen's dad picked her up from the airport. She was expecting for him to be living in an apartment or something, but he ended up taking her to a big house. Lydia ( Carmen's dad's fiancee) and her kids came out and greeted Carmen on the front steps. It is there that Carmen's dad introduces Carmen to them and says that Lydia is his fiancee. Carmen is obviously shocked and upset and writes a letter to Bridget.
