Every evening my 3 triplet sisters (8) are up until half past 9 and they spend the whole time in my room watching disney channel and being loud and arguing! they use to get ready at 7.30 and be in bed by 8.15.

My mum won't let them in the living room because they are too loud and noisy so she cant watch tv and i have asked her to put them to bed earlier but she just says i'm being unfair and mean. is 9.30 too late for 8 year olds because i think so!

  1. 8 year old triplets ?

Wow, i have got an older brother that always comes in my room at night and that's bad enough !

    He talks too much.

I can imagine how hard it must be for you having to put up with 3 little kids.

What would your mum do if you kicked them out your room or switched your T.V off ?

Perhaps you could say that you've got homework that needs to be done and your finding it hard to concentrate over all the noise.

  2. Try to start a good negotiation system with your sisters.

1.Offer them little prizes if they promise to stay out of your room.

    2. Tell them that you will do something special with them each week if they allow you time by yourself.

    3. Write a creative invitation to something fun and give it to them, but only if they will leave your room.

    4. Tell them that you have something special in store for them at the end of the week, if they promise to give you time alone.

    Works every time!

  3. i know it stinks (believe me, i just turned 18 and i have 6 sisters ages 25, 16, 13, 11, 8, and 2). but hang in there and try to be understanding. i have to share a room with the 16 and 13 yo and believe me, they hate each other and fight constantly. i get no sleep whatsoever. nor do i get any personal space, etc.

They look up to you, try to play with them and be the "cool" older sister they like and listen to. because believe me, i know from experience, that yelling at them, being bratty, complaining, etc. will only make it waaaaaaay worse.

  4. Sounds like you are being used as a babysitter so your mother can watch TV.  That's not right.  Talk to her and tell her you need some time to yourself to do homework and take care of your own needs. Maybe you can arrive at a compromise. For example, you could have your sisters in your room until 7:30, or only a couple of evenings a week.  If that doesn't work, close your door and send your sisters to their own rooms.  Parenting them shouldn't be your job.

  5. that is way too late.  Get a lock on your door &+ say to your sisters they need to be out for 8 or you wont ever let them in again. Or tell them you havent got the channel anymore because they was being naughty :P

or simple say to your mum its not fair that you should put up with it all because she dont want to, shes the mum in this situation.

&+ she needs to give them a earlier bed tym
