  1. Turkish, Greek and Bosnian cuisine here.

    Bey soup for start.

Minced beef, rice, spices - wrapped in grape leaves (which you boil first)

    Musaka (a traditional Greek meal)

Tufahiya (boiled apples with walnuts inside and cream on top)

Want recipes? I'll dig them for you in English.

    Oh and I eat sea-food a lot.

EDIT: Sure, here it is. The dish is called ''sarma'' in my language but it has been reported that even the Sultans used to eat it, so it must be good hehe.

    STUFFED GRAPE LEAVES

1 1/2 lbs. minced beef (or lamb)

    1 1/4 c. rice (raw)

    3 tsp. salt

    1 tsp. allspice (level)

    1 tbsp. dried spearmint

1/4 lb. melted butter (1 stick)

    Mix all above ingredients together.

GRAPE LEAVES: Pick 75 to 100 medium leaves early in season when they are tender (avoid tiny ones). Cut stem off and brush clean in bowl of water. If unable to pick leaves, jarred leaves can be purchased in a Greek import store. Boil some water and place the leaves (if you have the fresh ones, those from the jar don't require boiling) in the pot and boil them for a few minutes.

STUFFING THE LEAVES: Steps to follow:

Line bottom of pot with large leaves. Stuff leaves on wrong side. Place a little stuffing on stem side. Fold leaf over stuffing - bring one side over, then the other side and then roll. Place in pot with seam side down.

When all stuffed leaves are placed in pot, cover with large leaves. Pour seasoned water (with salt and allspice) over the stuffed leaves. Place hand over leaves and press down to avoid leaves opening. Bring to boil, foam may come to the top. Skim it off. Lower to simmer for 1 hour. Take 1 stuffed leaf, cut and check to see if rice is cooked.

By the way, when there are no grape leaves available, you can make this dish using cabbage leaves instead.

  7. I cook a lot of American and German dishes :D if you'd like to know any of those I'd be happy to share

Oh and Mexican food, I love making fajitas.

One dish I really like, though it doesn't sound like anything special, is you take chicken legs and breast, carrots, red, green, and yellow bell peppers, celery, and put it into a huge pot and add a little broth and a little seasoning and let it slow cook. It's really good and made all the time in Germany :)

The chicken is left in whole pieces and the veggies are cut into big slices. I usually use baby carrots.

  8. Wa alaikum assalam,

This is what i cooked today.... its a real quick and delicious dish.

    Chicken and Broccoli Casserole.

Step 1: cook 2 cups rice, regular way, and it has to be plain.

Step 2: cut some chicken b*****s into little cubes and fry them in a skillet and add salt and pepper and some spices.

Step 3: Its best to buy the frozen broccoli coz its already cooked and just microwave it till it defrosts.

Step 4: Add one cream of broccoli and one cream of mushroom in a pot. Then add 2 cans of milk each. Bring to a boil and stir constantly. Add some salt and pepper.

Finally, pour the rice in a pan and add chicken, broccoli and some cheese and mix well. Pour the soup over it and make sure the soup is all over the rice. Finally, put alot of cheese on top and cover the pan with aluminum foil so the cheese can melt.

    Serves up to 5 people

I made that today, and it was soooooo good. If u want some Arabic recipes, let me know,

    Salam

Edit: yes sis, if u cannot get the cream of broccoli, then u can just use 2 cans of cream of mushroom. If u have anymore q, just ask me :-)
